Cross Vegas 2011 – Barriers, Bikes and Beer

Cross Vegas 2011 – Barriers, Bikes and Beer

I’ve been to a few cyclocross (CX) races. Nothing prepared me for the sheer awesomeness of the yearly race known as Cross Vegas. Being called “The Biggest Cyclocross Race in America” is not an understatement. Spectators were EVERYWHERE!

I arrived a bit late, but was able to watch the Elite Men lay it all out on the 1.7 mile course at the Desert Breeze Soccer Complex. Best parts of the evening were watching the racers bunnyhop (and crash) over the barriers and all the handups. I’m learning the fine art of photography and I did a little bit of low-light shooting at the race with a Canon 7D generously loaned to me by my friend Brian.
